Need to reduce wheel hop and improve traction? 2011-14 Mustang Steeda
Adjustable Upper Control Arm-Spherical End 555-4113 will do the job.
The 2011-14 Mustang Steeda Adjustable Upper Control Arm-Spherical End
555-4113 gives you the ability to set your pinion angle and eliminate
the torque deflection associated with the factory piece. This upper 3rd
link uses track proven three piece bushing package using soft outer
bushings a hard center bushing on the axle end. This proven combination
helps control axle wind up, wheel hop under acceleration, and allows
for proper articulation without deflection for improved handling and
cornering stability.
Steeda's three piece bushing package will not increase NVH (noise,
vibration, and harshness) keeping the factory's quiet, smooth operation
unlike competitor's pieces. Direct replacement for the factory original
bolting into the original factory location. This 3rd link is a double
adjustable design allowing you to make adjustments without removing the
arm from the vehicle.
Already own an original 555-4105
Steeda upper 3rd link and want to take it to the next level? Purchase
one of our competition upgrade kits.
The full competition version part number 555-4107
includes a competition proven chrome moly alloy rod end to eliminate
all wheel hop and axle wind up. This version with a solid rod end will
increase NVH in street use and is recommended for competition use only.
The dual purpose street/competition version uses exclusive 3 piece
bushing package on the axle end and is recommended for street use since
it wont increase NVH levels in the vehicle.
Both competition upgrades include a new heavy duty chassis mount made
from stout 1/4" thick steel for twice the thickness of the original
factory piece. It also gives you 2 mounting locations for increased
adjustment to provide even better traction and handling.
Steeda Stepped Spacers: 555-4105
upper 3rd links come with spacers designed to fix the problem with the
OEM upper chassis mount. At the attachment point for the upper link to
the chassis mount Ford uses a 14mm bolt, but the opening in the mount
is 16mm. This is not typically a problem with the OEM 3rd link as it
uses a soft hydra mount bushing to soften this. But once an aftermarket
upper is installed with a urethane bushing you get a noticeable clunk
from the smaller bolt walking in the larger hole it installs into. The
spacers can be installed with all aftermarket upper arms that use the
factory 14mm bolt in the factory chassis mount. The stepped spacers
take up the slop and eliminate the noise from the upper 3rd links
associated with the mismatched bolt/bolt hole combination. Note: The
555-4107 upgrades do not require these spacers with their all
new chassis mounts. All Steeda 555-4105 Upper Third Links produced on
or after February 2007 include the Stepped Spacers. Product Benefits
