Mustang GT Custom Tune
Please
Choose from the Drop Down Menu above if:
Expedite: This
expedites your order to approximately 2 business days.
Standard lead time is 7 business days from when we receive your
vehicle information. Expedite is a good option if you are in a rush to
get your vehicle up and running.
Aftermarket Cams/Heads: If you are running aftermarket
camshafts,
modified phasers, or modified cylinder heads we have you covered.
Choose this option to get the calibration optimized for these parts. We
have race proven modified cylinder head and camshaft calibrations.
Aftermarket
Manifold: If you
have an aftermarket intake manifold installed please select you product
from the drop down menu above. If you have a 2018 Mustang GT
manifold installed on a 11-14, the IMRC plates need to be secured in
the OPEN position when installing. If you have a 2018 Mustang GT
manifold installed on a 2015-2017 the IMRC plates need to be ACTIVE,
not locked open.
Data Logging: If you
are interested in data logging your vehicle use
this option. We will provide you with a data log configuration file
that can be used with the SCT device and software to record vehicle
information. We will review, and adjust the calibration if needed based
off of the information you provide. This is how we calibrate vehicles
on the dyno but this is called remote tuning or remote calibrating.
Although our e-mail calibration is within a few percent of optimized
our data logging option is a good when you are looking for max
performance to your specific vehicle. Note: This is not an ongoing
service for the future as you further modify your car. This service is
for the initial calibration you purchase.
If
you already have an SCT tuner then a custom mail order tune is a great
option to free up power in your Mustang. You get the same great
benefits as if you purchased your SCT tuner from Brenspeed and we will
simply e-mail the tune to you along with instructions on how to install
it on your programmer. Our custom tunes will give you the fastest
throttle response possible, increased HP, the maximum torque possible
at lower RPM’s, and often improved MPG. Brenspeed’s custom tunes are a
far cry from your basic aftermarket tune. We have years of experience
and R&D invested into our tunes to give you more benefits than
just a peak HP gain on the dyno. With multiple modifications performed
to many parameters within the torque management, adaptive learning, and
drive by wire tables it is common to reduce quarter mile ET’s by as
much as a half second.
*NOTE:
If you have aftermarket Camshafts installed on your Mustang please
select on the drop down list. Brenspeed has worked directly with Comp
Cams to develop the premier calibration for their 5.0L cam line. 100%
fully approved by Comp Cams.
Note:
If you do not receive an e-mail requesting tuning information in 2
business days please check your spam folder as these typically are sent
out within 1 business day.
What
you are purchasing:
You
are purchasing
a calibration developed in house on one of our engineering vehicles. We
have calibrations developed for almost every product we offer. Our
calibrations must pass a rigorous list of specifications through
racing, street driving, and dyno testing before they are released. We
do not simply dyno one car and consider that enough information for a
mail order calibration. This is the main reason that we do not
calibrate for every aftermarket product on the market.
However, we are constantly working on releasing new
calibrations. A Brenspeed Calibration is not a standard calibration
created by a software manufacturer that is providing one size fits all
"tunes" to everybody that purchases their tuning software.
What
you are not purchasing:
You
are not
purchasing what is known as a "remote tune" or "remote calibration".
Remote tuning a car is having the customer data log vehicle information
and sending that info to the calibrator, then changes are e-mailed back
to the customer, and so on. Remote tuning is the fine tuning of a
calibration to a specific customer need beyond the developed mail order
calibration. This is also known as dyno tuning, but with the tuner
being remote to the dyno or test area. Remote tuning and dyno tuning
take about the same amount of time and effort. We currently do not
offer remote tuning but we do have facilities located in Indiana that
do offer in house services starting at $400. Prices vary per
application, and not all applications are supported so please contact
us for more information.
After
you order our sales department will e-mail you to find out about your
current modifications if any, your Mustang in general, and other
information so we can develop your custom tunes.
Expedite Option:
Typically all custom tuning orders are built in the order received. We
understand that our customers sometimes have to be to a race, car show,
or just want it fast. Because of time sensitive events we offer
expedited custom tuning for an extra charge of $49. We will build your
custom tune outside of normal business hours in order to give you a one
business day turn around. If you choose this option please contact our
sales department as soon as possible to provide us important tuning
information.
