The mufflers of these kits features ROUSH's unique and innovative open-chambered design. This differs substantially from the conventional fiberglass-packing found in other mufflers. The result is a less inhibited sound, increased air flow (maximizing power), and increased longevity (there is no fiberglass that would break-down over time). Another great feature of this exhaust kit is the lack of the typical in-cockpit boom at cruising speeds found with most performance exhaust systems.

Not only is the sound high-quality with the ROUSH Mustang Exhaust Kit, but the looks are as well. The tips are made from high-quality 304 stainless steel and are finished with a special chrome flashing process. The problem with conventional chrome plating is that the layers of bonded chemicals (which achieve its shiny appearance) are susceptible to cracking and flaking, especially when subjected to heat (as is found with an exhaust). The chrome flashing used in for this Mustang exhaust is bonded micro-porously to the metal surface. The result is a finish that is highly resistant to cracking from localized damage and heat color change. The inlet pipe and mufflers are made from 409 stainless steel for enhanced durability.

Installation of the ROUSH Mustang Exhaust Kits is quick and easy. The exhaust uses the factory hanger mounting positions (you won't have to fabricate your own). These kits also features new OE-quality spherical clamps for a great fit.

This is an ÒActive ReadyÓ Kit, you can easily upgrade this exhaust to utilize ROUSH Performance's Active Exhaust Module (421926) a simple bolt-on process.

This Exhaust is only compatible with Mustangs equipped with the 2015 ROUSH Rear Valance - 421894 or 421919 (Requires Premium Chassis Package)

Installation requires cutting of the factory exhaust piping and adding the included secondary exhaust hanger. Once those modifications have been made to the factory exhaust system and the required Roush valance is installed, Installation is a simple bolt-in procedure.

When pairing this quad-tip axle-back from Roush up with any h-pipe or x-pipe resonator delete on the market, you will have to retain a small section of your factory exhaust to properly connect the two portions of your exhaust system.

Note: Roush considers this their ÒPassiveÓ system. Meaning, the outside tips are open and free-flowing all the time and the inner two tips are bolted onto the muffler with a removable block-off plate that is pre-installed from Roush to limit sound and flow. The end user can easily remove this plate in a matter of minutes to reap the full benefits of both sound and performance from their new quad tip Roush mufflers. Roush is in the works of releasing what they call an ÒActive Exhaust ModuleÓ that will install in the location of the block off plate. This kit will convert the passive system to an active system, giving you the ability to actively control the sound level and exhaust flow coming from the inner two tips.
