This 2005-10 Mustang GT/V6 & 2007-09 GT500 Exedy Hydraulic Bearing and Slave Cylinder BRG0159 has been designed to work with those stronger pressure plates, and can be used with any aftermarket or stock clutch without issue. It is just one of those peace of mind mods that is worth picking up whenever you’re installing a new aftermarket clutch or even with a stock clutch just for the added strength and reliability factor. Exedy recommends this product be used with all of their clutches, just to ensure reliable operation and proper engagement over time. In fact, Exedy includes this same part to be used in their Mach 600 clutch kit to operate the extremely burly pressure plate included with that particular clutch.

As far as install is concerned, this is ideally something you should have replaced whenever you’re replacing your clutch because the trans has to come out, because of this we’d recommend having this job tackled by your local shop, on the other hand if you are the do it yourself type, just leave yourself about 4-6 hours from start to finish.
