1 Brenspeed Naturally
Aspirated Calibration
Please
see below for drop down menu options and explanations.
Ready
for tire squealing shift chirping performance? Brenspeed custom
calibrations have recorded 5 NMRA drag race world championships, dozens
of event wins, wins on the road course, and are yet tame enough to
drive on the street. By far the #1 first modification for your Mustang
is one of our Brenspeed E-mail calibrations. This is a great option if
you already own an SCT device. Gains of as much as 30+ horsepower are
possible with just our Brenspeed calibration. Our custom calibrations
will give you the fastest throttle response possible, increased HP, the
maximum torque possible at lower RPM’s, and often improved MPG. Cam
timing curves, spark curves, and fuel tables are all revised over
factory or a base SCT calibration that comes on all SCT programmers.
Brenspeed’s custom calibrations are a far cry from your basic
aftermarket tune. We have years of experience and R&D invested
into our calibrations to give you more benefits than just a peak HP
gain on the dyno. With multiple modifications performed to many
parameters within the torque management, adaptive learning, and drive
by wire tables it is common to reduce quarter mile ET’s by as much as a
half second. Our custom automatic transmission program will have your
Mustang tire chirping at wide open throttle yet a nice firm shift at
light throttle. Our shift schedule will keep your Mustang in the power
range and will be optimized for your current engine modifications. Rev
and Speed limiters are modified as well as your cooling fans. Our
e-mail calibrations are designed for pump gas unless you use the race
fuel option drop down.
After you order our sales department will e-mail you to find out about
your current modifications if any, your Mustang in general, and other
information so we can develop your custom calibrations. You will also
be able to choose your octane fuel during this time.
Optional Drop Down Menu:
Expedite: This expedites your order to approximately 2 business days.
Standard lead time is 7 business days from when we receive your
vehicle information. Expedite is a good option if you are in a rush to
get your vehicle up and running.
Aftermarket Cams/Heads: If you are running aftermarket camshafts,
modified phasers, or modified cylinder heads we have you covered.
Choose this option to get the calibration optimized for these parts. We
have race proven modified cylinder head and camshaft calibrations.
Data Logging: If you are interested in data logging your vehicle use
this option. We will provide you with a data log configuration file
that can be used with the SCT device and software to record vehicle
information. We will review, and adjust the calibration if needed based
off of the information you provide. This is how we calibrate vehicles
on the dyno but this is called remote tuning or remote calibrating.
Although our e-mail calibration is within a few percent of optimized
our data logging option is a good when you are looking for max
performance to your specific vehicle. Note: This is not an ongoing
service for the future as you further modify your car. This service is
for the initial calibration you purchase.
Note:
If you do not receive an e-mail requesting tuning information in 2
business days please check your spam folder as these typically are sent
out within 1 business day.
What you are purchasing:
You are purchasing a
calibration developed in house on one of our engineering vehicles. We
have calibrations developed for almost every product we offer. Our
calibrations must pass a rigorous list of specifications through
racing, street driving, and dyno testing before they are released. We
do not simply dyno one car and consider that enough information for a
mail order calibration. This is the main reason that we do not
calibrate for every aftermarket product on the market.
However, we are constantly working on releasing new
calibrations. A Brenspeed Calibration is not a standard
calibration created by a software manufacturer that is providing one
size fits all "tunes" to everybody that purchases their tuning software.
What
you are not purchasing unless the data log option is selected:
You
are not
purchasing what is known as a "remote tune" or "remote calibration".
Remote tuning a car is having the customer data log vehicle information
and sending that info to the calibrator, then changes are e-mailed back
to the customer, and so on. Remote tuning is the fine tuning of a
calibration to a specific customer need beyond the developed mail order
calibration. This is also known as dyno tuning, but with the tuner
being remote to the dyno or test area. Remote tuning and dyno tuning
take about the same amount of time and effort. Use the data logging
drop down option if you are requesting data logging service.
