Ford
Racing introduces their new special casting of the Mustang GT 5.0L 4V
Ti-VCT block with improvements to support higher horsepower engine
builds. There's no specific number as to how much power this block can
handle, but with the factory castings making well into the coveted four
digits, this block is sure to hold up to just about anything you can
throw at it.
There
is major modifications to this engine that make it stand out from the
production and aluminator cylinder blocks. The water jacket below the
cylinder bore has been updated to add more material for strength. Even
though the size of the jacket has decreased, cooling has not been
affected. The intake side of the bore at the deck surface includes a
cast in brace to improve strength of the cylinder wall and head gasket
sealing. And a 1/4-inch drain plug provision on right side of block has
been implemented for easy coolant draining.
